There's stuff to criticize in CQM, but its Sabbat ending is (among the few VTMB mods there are) the best that I know of. And the Camarilla ending with Strauss is the only way to defeat the main antagonist.

Jack is the most friendly vampire, if you follow the breadcrumbs like a good little rat in a maze he has set up. The former is only possible if you chose the right options in previous conversations, and the latter only if you can beat him (when I tried the mod's bugs made it in some ways even harder than Ming Xiao), but that is some good stuff in there. The best antagonists are those who you think are your friend. The ending gives you the opportunity to talk Andrei out of it, or challenge him.

UOP just has less original content for Andrei. You have some opportunities to get to know Andrei, so the ending with him has more weight. It's pretty insane for Andrei, even motivated by his own unconscious lust for power, to try it with himself and your coven, but not quite impossible. The Sabbat would love to diablerize another Third Gen.

I'll try not to spoil but if you have low humanity + doing that trust thing you can manage to get the 'good' Sabbat ending. There's no shame in UOP+ not winning at something it wasn't really trying to win at.īeing able to just attack a Tremere chantry really isn't doable, at the least I'd expect for Andrei to have some artifact hoarded over the years for just such a battle, but the fight itself isn't bad. Sabbat endings depend on if you were ever loyal to Andrei (meaning always say something he would like) and your humanity. CQM isn't just an ending mod any more than UOP+ (assuming you're referring to those two) is, but looking at their Sabbat endings, CQM wins, but that's to be expected when a big part of CQM was spent on the Sabbat.
